Hi Flynn, this is great, you are finally going to get that lazy Dad of yours running for once in his life! I remember when he was 5 asking him to run cos we were going to miss a bus & he told me he never ran for anything! James wants to know if you will give him a ride, your new chair looks brill. We'll do what we can to help, tell Daddy Uncle Angus says he can get some kit to raffle if he wants it. Love you loads Auntie Judith xx PS Give my love to Daddy, Mummy & Toby xxx

Hi Flynn, what a fantastic new website! I hope daddy is training very hard as Uncle Daz is taking his training very seriously and is working really hard in the gym! I on the other hand am taking a much more laid back approach as I do not intend to run with the boys (they smell), broken coccyx aside, I will be slogging it out in the September sunshine/rain too in order to get you a healthy contribution for your wheelchair fund. The sponsorship sheet is looking really healthy and it will be mine and Uncle Dar's greatest pleasure to do this run to help you get this amazing new wheelchair. We both love you and Toby very much.Love you hundreds and thousands,Aunty Zoë

Hello,

First I have to say that I was overwhelmed with emiotion when I seen Flynns' first steps. Even thou we have never meet.....I cried. I have a 4 year old son who struggles everyday with balance, walking and speech. He has a mitochondrial disorder, secondary to a defect in complex 1 of the respiratory chain. Which has caused cerebller atrophy. Also with in the last year has develop a seizure disorder.

My son like FLynn can not walk with out assistance. He can not communiate like he would like. Words are not clear when he speeks. I understand most of them or can at least figure out what he wants (most of the time). He too can ride a tricycle and use a walker. Mostly he gets around by crawling and when we are out we help him walk or he uses is walker. He can not be left a room because he is pretty dangerous. He has no fear and will crawl up on the coach to watch TV. But when he is done he will just fall foward. Which I am sure you can relate.

I am so intersted in hearing more about Flynn and his progress. I know how hard he worked to first stand there and then to take those steps. I am sure it was the most wonderful feeling ever. Seeing Flynn gave me hope that my son, Wyatt may walk someday.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Hope to hear back from you.
